I first bought the Kindle electronic version of this book, because I didn't want to spend $20+ for a paperback. Big mistake. Even before I'd finished GIANT GOLF as an e-read, I knew I would HAVE to have a printed copy, too, if only for the edgy artwork and cool creative design concept. This guy, Billy Knows -- he's pretty wacky. But he's wise, too, and the whole book reads like an all-day/all-night journey on magic mushrooms. The last time I felt this unbalanced, yet strangely enlightened by something I read, it was Carlos Castaneda's THE TEACHINGS OF DON JUAN and the year was 1970. I loved this booked. Due to a hip injury years ago, I connected with the giant right away. The deep and meaningful conversations are life changing. The battles of life are made a bit clearer.

A quick read. I felt like I was back in Maui...a lot like Tom Robbins books. Some deeply spiritual issues...and bizarre as only Billy Knows can be. I loved it. Couldn't put it down. Maui, surfers, a great journey.
Anything put together from billyknows is unique and thought provoking. Wow! Well...we all know about those giant's in maui... and four star golf courses. Cudos to Billyknows once again!

take that for a good sign, cause when i looked at the cover, i thought it was unusually subdued, according to most of your known artwork. i wondered if you actually produced the artwork, or - impossibly - that it wasn't even your book. you are so good at hiding your true self and background...
INITIAL SURPRISE - the cover artwork is perfect. then i sat down and read the whole book straight through, totally entranced. INITIAL SURPRISE the point size of the text and the way it started so high on the page. after about 2 1/2 pages, i got it. great for us old blind folks. dug the interplay between characters and INITIAL SURPRISE the use of color typography to differentiate folks is BRILLIANT! this is the first time i've seen it and it just makes so much sense...
INITIAL SURPRISE the whole story, which is so autobiographical and yet so mythical of a story. and the attention to detail. the copious amount of da kine - i like it! INITIAL SURPRISE the whole idea of the pendulum in life is one that i've always adhered to, if not known by many folks, and your presentation of this cosmic concept was exceptional...
The book came in the mail...I opened the package in delighted anticipation of the great read it would be....you see, I have read BK writings before and knew what a magical journey I was about to take. By the time I got up the driveway, the book was unwrapped and I had started reading. I sat down, once in the house, and continued to read until I was done. I was not disappointed! i also have played golf since I was 4, so I could imagine myself on the course, following close behind the giant and BK, listening as the message was told. Thank you BK for yet another wonderful read!! And for those of you that haven't read his books, Devilboy, and the LL series, you need to. Although promoted as children's books, which they are, as a 60+ year old I enjoyed them as much as all the children I gave the book to to read! The artwork is beautiful, the storylines promote good feelings and self worth...read them too!!!!

It takes guts, determination, sometimes tears, sometimes great laughs, plus a little help from your best friend.
As an avid reader, I enjoyed the harsh reality, the quirky dialogue, the real love of Hawaii, the spirituality, philosophy and psychology found in this book. This is not for the faint of heart, since it may ignite the thoughts about your own life and what changes you might make to follow your dreams. It certainly worked for me.
