My son actually bought these on my account with his graduation money. I can not even express how proud off that fact I am. See my son is dyslexic and could not read until he was in 4th grade. I still can remember that night I went to his room after bedtime to tell him to go to bed and he was reading Percy Jackson! In his senior year of high school he was in AP English.

Purchased for my 8yo. They loved the books and couldn't put them down. Highly recommend if you have a Rick Riordan fan.
Beautiful box set! The books are big and sturdy with fabulous cover art. The box isn't really sturdy enough to hold them so be careful with it. My 9 year old son whipped through the Percy Jackson books and couldn't wait to whip through these. He is now on book 3 and absolutely LOVES this series. He actually prefers to read these books over playing minecraft!
This series is a little 'older' than the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series. The romantic interests are in play more frequently. Still, it is a great revival of ideas from Greek Mythology and it keeps my 8 year old son interested enough in it for him to burn through this thick series in a short time.
This book set is not for me, but my teenage son likes it very much he read this whole set within the summer. He likes the Greek mythology setting and he was surprised that it was a spin off the story for Percy Jackson series. My son enjoys story line.
Any fan of Rick Riordan's series, will love this nice boxed set. My daughter has read all of his books on kindle, but was so happy to receive this as a gift. There is something to be said for having an actual book. You can easily re-read favorite parts, and she has also been able to loan them to friends to enjoy as well.
I already own the hardback set. My oldest wanted a set for her birthday, so I got this for her.

If you have a pre-teen or teen who enjoys mythology and adventure, this is a great set to own. You don't necessarily Have to have read the original Percy Jackson series to get into this, but it does help if you have.

My wife is an avid reader. After reading the Percy Jackson series she was excited to hear about this next series from Rick Riordan. She has almost completed it and loves it!! She can't wait to get her hands on the next series. Definitely a great read for any age.
