I've read 4 parts of this series and the two main characters have yet to have full-on sex. It gets tiresome after a while. It is graphically violent and not a very romantic story. You have to feel sorry for the Earth girls and the alien/shifter men are not very endearing. Not sure if I will continue with the series because it seems to be dragging. Probably would read better as a full on book, rather than these 5-part-series that everyone seems to be writing these days. Editing and grammar are all good.
Part 2 only 59 pages! Again, with releasing so few pages at a time, the mini book should be virtually free of errors but it isn't. The page breaks in between the chapters are still missing and is annoying when the words "Chapter 3" are on down at the bottom of the screen instead at the top. Please go back and insert your page breaks for each chapter! It looks more professional anyway.
Part 2 is carries on where part 1 left off. The story is still good but it is a disappointment to have only 59 pages to read then have to wait for the next installment in the next month. I would rather have the entire book at one time then to have to wait each month for a few pages to read. If it wasn't for the borrowing program I probably would not be reading this series since I am not going to pay .99 cents each time to get a few pages. The author might want to rethink releasing her story this way.

**My original rating of this book was 5 stars but that was in December 2015. I truly loved this story. The writing was good, the storyline and plot well crafted and executed, the conflict emotional and immersive, and the characters well developed, but it's been 2 1/2 years and the story is still unfinished. After purchasing 6 installments, I'm still left with NO resolution and NO ending. I can't even begin to express my disappointment with this author. It's such a shame because I loved this author's work and this story had such promise. So no, I no longer recommend this series/serial or this author. I am not retracting my original review but I am updating my original rating.
Great Balls of Fire! Taken The Viking Werewolf's Concubine Part Two by Desiree Broussard is smokin hot! I love this series! Yes, I said seris which means multiple installments and cliffhangers but I just love a great spell binding chronicle with a suspenseful, edge of your seat ending and this one definitely fits the bill! Broussard has dazzled us once again with her amazing talent, astounding imagination and incredible skill. In this installment, she has really kicked up the heat and the stakes in this game of life and death have been raised to the limit! The story is exciting, original, powerful, compelling, dark, enthralling, riveting thrilling, romantic, arousing, sensual and steamy. The dialog is smart, very well written and flows beautifully. The characters are fascinating, captivating, imaginative, engaging, intriguing and sexy as sin. I quickly became totally immersed in the fantasy of the story and completely drawn in by the characters and the planet, Scorched. Handsome Rolf Ragnulf was no stranger to Earth nor humanity. Afterall, he once was a human from earth but no more, now he lives on the planet Scorched. Hundreds of years ago, he and his people were Vikings from Greenland but all his people, every man, woman and child, had either been captured or killed and taken to the planet Scorched, to be transformed to werewolves to repopulate their dying race. But he and his people were not purebreds and were still treated as less than equals. He has fought his way up the ranks to his current position and can not afford to fail in his latest mission. And that mission was to travel to Earth, procure ten human females for concubines and return them to Scorched to be used as thralls and breeders. Their race is slowly becoming extinct and needs fertile females to reproduce and bear young. Rolf detests the very idea of enslaving anyone since that's what happened to him but he has no choice. He cannot reveal his true plans just yet. But one of the females has escaped and he's determined to recapture her. He tracks her back to her home where he finds her with her dying Grandmother and witnesses the young woman's loss. He has only heard her voice and seen her from the back yet he is strangely moved by this young woman. But when she turns and he sees her face, he is struck by her beauty - her long blonde hair, electric blue eyes and flawless creamy skin - such a gorgeous creature this Briony Williams. Rolf knows that he can not afford to be distracted by a female and has no intention of taking a mate. But his well made plans never included the attraction he felt for the small human female and she seems to haunt his mind day and night. To make matters worse, his father has entered him in the competition to claim one of the ten earth females as a mate. Rolf is furious but realizes he has no choice. He will be forced to claim one of the females but he would refuse to mate her. When he claims his victory over the evil pure bloods, then he will free her. And under no circumstances will he claim the beautiful spirited Briony. Nope! Too much of a headache! Never going to happen! But apparently his wolf didn't get the memo because he's drawn to her as well. Now, he has to have her! But it seems he's not the only one intent on having the beautiful curvy female but he has to catch her first! Oh my! And to make matters worse, it seems the evil King Adolph wants her as well. Good Golly Miss Molly! Briony Williams is no stranger to despair and hardship but after awakening on another planet, she quickly realizes that there is no hope for escape although that doesn't mean she will submit willingly. After being kidnapped, drugged, humiliated, beaten, abused and stripped, Briony soon realizes that she must find a way to escape and this competition just may be her chance. But when she is captured by Rolf, it seems her body has betrayed her. She feels a strange trust and a surprising desire for the handsome, sexy wolf. What? How dare her body betray her? She hates him! Or does she? Can Rolf continue to deny his attraction to the beautiful Breony? His head may say no but his body says yes! Will he be able to protect her? Will Breony be able to escape her fate? Oh my goodness gracious! Handsome sexy werewolf-check! Beautiful courageous human heroine-check! Heinous villains and evil werewolves-check! Action, suspense, danger, and adventure-check! I can hardly wait for Part Three! This is quite simply an all you can eat buffet of fantasy, paranormal romance, science fiction and adventure. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end! I love it! Buckle up my lovelies, it's going to be one hell of a great ride! Fabulous entertainment and a fantastic read!

The author fixed all my complaints about the first book. We now understand the Vikings place in the Scorched society. Fascinating!
This was a very captivating and entertaining book. I just loved it because you really get to know the characters and feel for them. Anxious to see what happens next with Rolf and Briony!
I enjoyed part one and part two of this series but I'm surprised and disappointed part 3 isn't already out. It's been nearly 2 months since part 2 came out and with as short as these are I don't see the issue?
